Buy a used Venty

The Venty is a newer Storz & Bickel premium portable with USB-C, adjustable airflow, a sealed battery and the same dosing capsules as the Mighty family. Storz & Bickel states a 130 W heater and a heat-up of about 20 seconds; treat both as manufacturer claims, not as measurements of the used unit. Buy it used only when it powers on cleanly and the asking price is clearly below a new one.

What to check before you buy

• Power the Venty on before you pay. Storz & Bickel documents ERR 004, also shown as e04, as vaporizer is faulty: switch off, unplug, contact service, and do not self-repair. Ask whether it has shown ERR 004 and whether it is already a replacement unit. Also note ERR 001 (too hot), ERR 002 (too cold), ERR 003 (unsuitable USB-C supply) and ERR 005 (check the exact model manual and current manufacturer troubleshooting guidance).
• Confirm USB-C, adjustable airflow, a sealed battery that is not user-swappable, and dosing capsules shared with the Mighty family. The 130 W heater and the heat-up of about 20 seconds are Storz & Bickel claims.
• Storz & Bickel states a 2-year warranty, plus an optional extra year only if the original owner registered within 4 weeks, for eligible models under the applicable terms. The original Mighty, Crafty+ and Plenty are excluded from that extra year. A private sale does not automatically transfer the warranty, and proof of purchase is required.

Typical risks

• If ERR 004 is currently present, stop use and follow manufacturer service guidance. A documented repaired or replacement device is not automatically defective; ask what happened and what service was completed.
• If the gap to a new unit is small, the sealed battery and any unclear service history remove most of the reason to buy used.
